When you think of Vietnam you don’t normally picture amusement parks. However, one of the most exciting places to visit in Vietnam is actually an amusement park, Ba Na Hills in Danang. 

Located in the Truong Son mountains, around 45 minutes away from Danang city, Ba Na Hills is the perfect place to get away for a day trip and escape from the sweltering heat. Ride the cable car

The Ba Na cable car is one of the most impressive cable car rides you will ever get on. It was even listed by CNN as one of the “10 Impressive Cable Car Infrastructure Systems in the World.” The ride will take you on a journey across stunning views of the Toc Tien waterfall, Danang city, and the sea in the distance. If the day gets cloudy as you ascend, you will feel as if you are floating above the clouds. A ride on the cable car is worth every penny.

Visit the Golden Bridge

The Golden Bridge is one of the most popular attractions in Ba Na Hills. All thanks to its stunning and unique architecture which has attracted tourists from all over the world. The bridge is built along the face of a hillside and is made of two giant hands made of fiberglass protruding out of the hillside. The hands were made to look like they are holding the bridge up. It’s not just the unique style of the bridge that attracts visitors, the view from here is also amazing. You can see the green rolling mountains and the East Sea in the distance. The Golden Bridge itself is a beauty, and when the clouds roll in, it becomes even more magical. The Bridge is one of the main points of Ba Na Hills and should not be missed.

Walk around the French Village

One of the things that you cannot miss out in Ba Na Hills is the French Village. Built to look like a 19th Century French village, this small but charming attraction will transport you back in time with its beautifully detailed houses and cobbled street. The church in the middle of the village is one of the main attractions of the French Village and was made to resemble the famous Notre Dame. You can also stay in the village overnight.

Taste the food

Ba Na Hills takes food to a whole new level. The park has over 25 restaurants offering food from not just Vietnam but other countries as well. You can get Russian, French, Korean, traditional Vietnamese, Italian food, etc. It offers a wide variety of food found in one place. You can get fresh fruit drinks, noodles, rice, pizza, pasta, pastry, and barbecue. Some restaurants even offer buffets as well. Every year they also hold a Food and Beer festival and even a Wine Festival.

Explore the Le Jardin d’Amour Garden

Le Jardin d’Amour Flower Garden is one of the prime attractions of Ba Na Hills. This is a beautifully designed garden made up of 9 themed gardens with each garden having its own style including a maze garden, a love garden, a Greek god inspired garden, and even a vineyard. Filled with all kinds of beautiful flowers and plants, you can walk around and explore the garden to your heart’s content.

Have fun in the Fantasy Park

The Fantasy Park in Ba Na Hills is a park inspired by the science fiction author Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Journey to the Center of the Earth. The park has various rides and attractions inspired by the books including its prime attraction, a 29-meter tall free-fall drop tower. The park also has a 21-meter rock climbing wall.

Check Out the Wax Statue Museum

Wax museums are always fun to visit. This kind of museum gives people the opportunity to take photos with their favorite celebs without actually meeting them. Ba Na Hills has its own wax museum with statues featuring famous actors, actresses, politicians, sportspersons, musicians, etc. All of these statues were crafted by excellent artists so you can be sure that they bear a striking resemblance to the originals.

Relax at Linh Ung Pagoda

Ba Na Hills is not just about the parks and the rides. It also has a few religious places where you can relax, meditate, and get away from the noisy world outside. Linh Ung Pagoda is a beautiful pagoda famous for the 27 meters tall sitting Buddha statue. The pagoda also boasts of a unique three-needled endangered pine tree located right in front of the pagoda. The Linh Ung Pagoda is a place to visit if you wish to unwind and reflect on life. 

Ba Na Hills is a winner when it comes to being an amusement park with so many things to do that even a whole day might now just be enough.
